Hockey Bad Boy #3 Comin' Right Up...

I'd like you to meet Charlie Cooper...

Cooper's Cougar
Bad Boys of Hockey
Book 3
December 1, 2017

Charlie Cooper is the perfect package of sex appeal and silly goofball. Even better, he’s about to meet his match with the one woman who can see his true self behind all the humor…

For Coop, filling the role of class clown always came easy. Making people laugh was second nature—growing up with four older sisters, a guy did what he had to do in order to get noticed—and he enjoyed putting smiles on his teammates’ faces. In the world of professional hockey, some guys filled the role of enforcer, some guys scored goals, and others, like Coop, provided the comic relief. Coop isn’t laughing when he meets the sexy new resident of Harlequin Hills. In fact, he’s a little smitten and a lot attracted to the smoldering carefree widow who has hair like a mermaid and curves like a goddess.

And it’s here, in the arms of the most fascinating woman he’s ever met, that Coop will finally have a chance to prove that cracking jokes isn’t the only thing he’s good at…

The Bad Boys of Hockey Romance, Book 2

Hat tricks are a dime a dozen when these bad boys are on the ice!

Book 2
Marlowe's Maverick
Coming November 3, 2017

In Marlowe’s Maverick, Rachelle Vaughn introduces Ryan, Gavin, and Coop—the sexy hockey players who despite not sharing a last name, are brothers at heart. And for Gavin Bozymowski, the thrill of a lifetime is about to arrive in a surprising package…

Red Valley, California seemed like a good place for Marin Marlowe to start over and reinvent herself. Here, cleaning houses for a living, Marin scrubs toilets, washes windows, and dreams of a more meaningful relationship than the one she has with the paper towel hunk and the bald guy on the cleanser she uses. The upside of her thankless job gives her a behind-the-scenes look at Red Valley’s wealthiest residents. At Gavin Bozymowski’s house, she likes what she sees behind door number one. A peek inside his massive walk-in closet reveals rows upon rows of custom-made suits and more designer ties than she could shake her mop at. Her newest client might spend most of his time traveling, but when he’s home, Marin can’t resist the sharp-dressing, smooth-talking hockey player.

After Gavin wakes up to find a gorgeous stranger standing at the foot of his bed, he wishes his heart wasn’t off limits. When Gavin shows Marin the finer things in life, she wishes she wasn’t so far out of his league—and out of his reach. A rough-and-tumble guy like Gavin giving her the romance she’s always dreamed about? Seems bizarre! Then again, crazier things have happened under the sunny California sky.

Marin is sure she has no place in a community like Harlequin Hills, but Gavin knows different. Marin belongs here with him, and convincing this sexy, stubborn woman will be a challenge no bad boy could resist…

The Bad Boys of Hockey Romance: They're all yours...

I'm so excited to finally share with you what I've been working on all year!

Here's a little peek at Book 1, Riley's Rebel, coming your way October 6, 2017...

The first in a sexy new series, Rachelle Vaughn introduces Ryan, Gavin and Coop—three bad-boy heroes who smoothly mix hot hockey action and scorching sex appeal…

Security guard Jenna Riley is a quintessential good girl. She works hard, stays out of trouble and keeps the peace in the up-and-coming gated community of Harlequin Hills. Day after day she watches as residents drive in and out of the community in their pricy cars, all the while ignoring her curiosity about their glamorous lives. They are Red Valley’s wealthiest and include Ryan Wade, natural goal-scorer for the Razors. He has heartbreaker written all over him and just when Jenna thinks the only glimpse she’ll get of the hockey player with the rugged good looks and killer smile is from afar, a cougar—a real-life, fang-bearing wildcat—starts prowling the neighborhood and all hell breaks loose.

Ryan proves he has moves off the ice that are just as smooth as the ones he uses at the rink, but Jenna doubts she can fall for someone who keeps everyone pushed so far away. This bad boy’s heart is as guarded as the gated community he lives in and half as welcoming. Can Ryan convince her that he’s ready for forever? Or will it be the other way around?

Summer of Hockey

Friday, June 16, 2017

Fort Bragg, CA

We're already experiencing triple digit temperatures here in the valley, so I decided to skip town and spend the day at the beach!

What better way to unwind and refresh than by staring out at the endless ocean and writing my name in the sand? We took about 500 photos and had a blast wiggling our toes in the sand and listening to the soothing sound of the waves crashing against the rocks. You can read more about the cool beach birds we saw over on my birding blog, Wings & Daydreams.

Whenever I'm at the ocean, I can't help but hum my favorite Kooks song, Seaside.

Well, I'd better get back to the writing cave and quit frolicking on the beach! There's work to be done! My latest book is coming along nicely and I can't wait to share it with you.

Wishing you sandy toes and salty kisses this summer,

#Relationship Goals ~ Two Decades Later...

Twenty years ago today, I walked down the aisle toward the love of my life and never looked back. They all said we were too young and would never last. (People have a lot of nerve to say the darndest things! And guess what--they are all divorced now!) I've never been very good at listening to other people but, man, am I glad I listened to my heart when it told me I'd found the one person I wanted to spend the rest of my life with!

The vows we took were spot-on. The bad times have been liberally sprinkled in with the good times and we've had our share of sickness and health. But the one thing that has never wavered is our love. No matter what was happening around us and regardless of the people who futilely tried to rip us apart, we stayed strong and kept loving each other because we didn't know any other way.

We have continue to cherish each other in a way that not many people can understand. They don't understand the choices we made either. But we've chosen to live our own life and not one we were "supposed" to. We've never let anything or anyone come between us. Our love defines us and makes us strong enough to face whatever obstacles life throws at us.

So, as we celebrate this milestone, I want to wish my best friend, my lover, my husband, my everything, a very Happy Anniversary. You understand me like no one else and because of you I've been able to chase after my dreams with you by my side, encouraging me, and loving me and all of my faults. You are the smartest, funniest, kindest, most genuine person I know.

I look forward to holding your hand for 20+ more years...

I love you, D. "Very much,"

It's been a while since I've put together a playlist for one of my books, so I thought it'd be fun to share with you some music that helped inspire Ice Flambé. Do you like to listen to music while you read?

I love listening to music when I'm writing and these songs are the perfect companion to my latest book! It's impossible not to think of Lucas and Morgana while Jared Leto is belting out hauntingly beautiful lyrics!
